124. Ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā kusinārāyaṃ viharati baliharaṇe vanasaṇḍe. Tatra kho bhagavā bhikkhū āmantesi – ‘‘bhikkhavo’’ti. ‘‘Bhadante’’ti te bhikkhū bhagavato paccassosuṃ. Bhagavā etadavoca –

‘‘Idha, bhikkhave, bhikkhu aññataraṃ gāmaṃ vā nigamaṃ vā upanissāya viharati. Tamenaṃ gahapati vā gahapatiputto vā upasaṅkamitvā svātanāya bhattena nimanteti . Ākaṅkhamāno, bhikkhave, bhikkhu adhivāseti. So tassā rattiyā accayena pubbaṇhasamayaṃ nivāsetvā pattacīvaramādāya yena tassa gahapatissa vā gahapatiputtassa vā nivesanaṃ tenupasaṅkamati; upasaṅkamitvā paññatte āsane nisīdati. Tamenaṃ so gahapati vā gahapatiputto vā paṇītena khādanīyena bhojanīyena sahatthā santappeti sampavāreti.

So tattha kāmavitakkampi vitakketi, byāpādavitakkampi vitakketi, vihiṃsāvitakkampi vitakketi. Evarūpassāhaṃ, bhikkhave, bhikkhuno dinnaṃ na mahapphalanti vadāmi. Taṃ kissa hetu? Pamatto hi, bhikkhave, bhikkhu viharati.

‘‘Abhiññāyāhaṃ, bhikkhave, dhammaṃ desemi, no anabhiññāya. Sanidānāhaṃ, bhikkhave, dhammaṃ desemi, no anidānaṃ. Sappāṭihāriyāhaṃ, bhikkhave, dhammaṃ desemi, no appāṭihāriyaṃ. Tassa mayhaṃ, bhikkhave, abhiññāya dhammaṃ desayato no anabhiññāya, sanidānaṃ dhammaṃ desayato no anidānaṃ, sappāṭihāriyaṃ dhammaṃ desayato no appāṭihāriyaṃ, karaṇīyo ovādo, karaṇīyā anusāsanī. 127. Ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā kosalesu cārikaṃ caramāno yena kapilavatthu tadavasari. Assosi kho mahānāmo sakko – ‘‘bhagavā kira kapilavatthuṃ anuppatto’’ti. Atha kho mahānāmo sakko yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ aṭṭhāsi. Ekamantaṃ ṭhitaṃ kho mahānāmaṃ sakkaṃ bhagavā etadavoca –

‘‘Gaccha, mahānāma, kapilavatthusmiṃ, tathārūpaṃ āvasathaṃ jāna yatthajja mayaṃ ekarattiṃ vihareyyāmā’’ti. ‘‘Evaṃ , bhante’’ti kho mahānāmo sakko bhagavato paṭissutvā kapilavatthuṃ pavisitvā kevalakappaṃ kapilavatthuṃ anvāhiṇḍanto [āhiṇḍanto (syā. kaṃ.)] nāddasa kapilavatthusmiṃ tathārūpaṃ āvasathaṃ yatthajja bhagavā ekarattiṃ vihareyya.

5. Hatthakasuttaṃ



有一次,世尊在拘萨罗(Kosala)游行,来到了迦毗罗卫(Kapilavatthu)。释迦族的摩诃男听说:"世尊来到了迦毗罗卫。"于是摩诃男·释迦来到世尊那里,向世尊致敬后站在一旁。世尊对站在一旁的摩诃男·释迦说:
"摩诃男,去迦毗罗卫,找一个适合我们今晚住宿的地方。""是的,尊者。"摩诃男·释迦回答世尊后,进入迦毗罗卫,走遍整个迦毗罗卫,却找不到适合世尊今晚住宿的地方。
于是摩诃男·释迦来到世尊那里,对世尊说:"尊者,在迦毗罗卫没有适合世尊今晚住宿的地方。尊者,这位跋兰多·迦蓝是世尊以前的同修。今晚请世尊住在他的精舍里吧。""摩诃男,去铺设座位。""是的,尊者。"摩诃男·释迦回答世尊后,来到跋兰多·迦蓝的精舍,铺设座位,放置洗脚水,然后来到世尊那里,对世尊说:"尊者,座位已经铺设好,洗脚水已经准备好。现在请世尊自行决定时间。"

第二天早晨,摩诃男·释迦来到世尊那里,坐在一旁。世尊对坐在一旁的摩诃男·释迦说:"摩诃男,世间有三种导师存在。哪三种?摩诃男,这里有一种导师宣说对欲的遍知,但不宣说对色的遍知,也不宣说对受的遍知。摩诃男,这里又有一种导师宣说对欲的遍知,宣说对色的遍知,但不宣说对受的遍知。摩诃男,这里又有一种导师宣说对欲的遍知,宣说对色的遍知,也宣说对受的遍知。摩诃男,这就是世间存在的三种导师。摩诃男,这三种导师是一个目标还是不同目标?"
当这么说时,跋兰多·迦蓝对摩诃男·释迦说:"摩诃男,说'一个'。"世尊则对摩诃男·释迦说:"摩诃男,说'不同'。"跋兰多·迦蓝第二次对摩诃男·释迦说:"摩诃男,说'一个'。"世尊第二次对摩诃男·释迦说:"摩诃男,说'不同'。"跋兰多·迦蓝第三次对摩诃男·释迦说:"摩诃男,说'一个'。"世尊第三次对摩诃男·释迦说:"摩诃男,说'不同'。"
这时跋兰多·迦蓝心想:"我在这位有大势力的摩诃男·释迦面前,被沙门乔答摩三次贬低。我还是离开迦毗罗卫吧。"于是跋兰多·迦蓝离开了迦毗罗卫。他一离开就再也没有回来。

Atha kho hatthako devaputto abhikkantāya rattiyā abhikkantavaṇṇo kevalakappaṃ jetavanaṃ obhāsetvā yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā – ‘‘bhagavato purato ṭhassāmī’’ti osīdatimeva saṃsīdatimeva [osīdati ceva saṃsīdati ca (sī. pī.), osīdati saṃsīdati (syā. kaṃ.)], na sakkoti saṇṭhātuṃ. Seyyathāpi nāma sappi vā telaṃ vā vālukāya āsittaṃ osīdatimeva saṃsīdatimeva, na saṇṭhāti; evamevaṃ hatthako devaputto – ‘‘bhagavato purato ṭhassāmī’’ti osīdatimeva saṃsīdatimeva, na sakkoti saṇṭhātuṃ.

Atha kho bhagavā hatthakaṃ devaputtaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘oḷārikaṃ, hatthaka, attabhāvaṃ abhinimmināhī’’ti . ‘‘Evaṃ, bhante’’ti, kho hatthako devaputto bhagavato paṭissutvā oḷārikaṃ attabhāvaṃ abhinimminitvā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ aṭṭhāsi. Ekamantaṃ ṭhitaṃ kho hatthakaṃ devaputtaṃ bhagavā etadavoca –

‘‘Ye te, hatthaka, dhammā pubbe manussabhūtassa pavattino ahesuṃ, api nu te te dhammā etarahi pavattino’’ti? ‘‘Ye ca me, bhante, dhammā pubbe manussabhūtassa pavattino ahesuṃ, te ca me dhammā etarahi pavattino; ye ca me, bhante, dhammā pubbe manussabhūtassa nappavattino ahesuṃ, te ca me dhammā etarahi pavattino. Seyyathāpi, bhante, bhagavā etarahi ākiṇṇo viharati bhikkhūhi bhikkhunīhi upāsakehi upāsikāhi rājūhi rājamahāmattehi titthiyehi titthiyasāvakehi; evamevaṃ kho ahaṃ, bhante, ākiṇṇo viharāmi devaputtehi. Dūratopi, bhante, devaputtā āgacchanti hatthakassa devaputtassa santike ‘dhammaṃ sossāmā’ti. Tiṇṇāhaṃ, bhante, dhammānaṃ atitto appaṭivāno kālaṅkato. Katamesaṃ tiṇṇaṃ? Bhagavato ahaṃ, bhante, dassanassa atitto appaṭivāno kālaṅkato; saddhammasavanassāhaṃ, bhante, atitto appaṭivāno kālaṅkato; saṅghassāhaṃ, bhante, upaṭṭhānassa atitto appaṭivāno kālaṅkato. ‘‘Nāhaṃ bhagavato dassanassa, tittimajjhagā [titti tittisambhavaṃ (ka.)] kudācanaṃ;

Saṅghassa upaṭṭhānassa, saddhammasavanassa ca.

‘‘Adhisīlaṃ sikkhamāno, saddhammasavane rato;

Tiṇṇaṃ dhammānaṃ atitto, hatthako avihaṃ gato’’ti. pañcamaṃ;

于是世尊对天子哈达卡说:"哈达卡,化现一个粗大的身体吧。""是的,尊者。"天子哈达卡回答世尊后,化现了一个粗大的身体,向世尊致敬,然后站在一旁。世尊对站在一旁的天子哈达卡说:
"哈达卡,你以前作为人时所具有的那些法,现在还存在吗?""尊者,我以前作为人时所具有的那些法,现在仍然存在;而我以前作为人时所不具有的那些法,现在也存在。尊者,就像世尊现在被比丘、比丘尼、优婆塞、优婆夷、国王、大臣、外道和外道弟子们围绕;同样地,尊者,我也被天子们围绕。尊者,天子们从远处来到我这里听法。尊者,我对三种法没有满足、没有厌倦就死了。哪三种?尊者,我对见世尊没有满足、没有厌倦就死了;尊者,我对听正法没有满足、没有厌倦就死了;尊者,我对侍奉僧团没有满足、没有厌倦就死了。尊者,我对这三种法没有满足、没有厌倦就死了。"
"我从未对见世尊,获得满足;
对侍奉僧团,和听闻正法。
学习增上戒,乐于听正法;
对三法不满,哈达卡生阿维奇天。"

6. 恶语经

129. Ekaṃ samayaṃ bhagavā bārāṇasiyaṃ viharati isipatane migadāye. Atha kho bhagavā pubbaṇhasamayaṃ nivāsetvā pattacīvaramādāya bārāṇasiṃ piṇḍāya pāvisi. Addasā kho bhagavā goyogapilakkhasmiṃ [goyogamilakkhasmiṃ (syā. kaṃ. ka.)] piṇḍāya caramāno [caramānaṃ (ka.)] aññataraṃ bhikkhuṃ rittassādaṃ bāhirassādaṃ muṭṭhassatiṃ asampajānaṃ asamāhitaṃ vibbhantacittaṃ pākatindriyaṃ. Disvā taṃ bhikkhuṃ etadavoca –

‘‘Mā kho tvaṃ, bhikkhu, attānaṃ kaṭuviyamakāsi. Taṃ vata bhikkhu kaṭuviyakataṃ attānaṃ āmagandhena [āmagandhe (sī. syā. kaṃ. pī.)] avassutaṃ makkhikā nānupatissanti nānvāssavissantīti [nānubandhissanti (ka.)], netaṃ ṭhānaṃ vijjatī’’ti. Atha kho so bhikkhu bhagavatā iminā ovādena ovadito saṃvegamāpādi. Atha kho bhagavā bārāṇasiyaṃ piṇḍāya caritvā pacchābhattaṃ piṇḍapātapaṭikkanto bhikkhū āmantesi –

‘‘Idhāhaṃ, bhikkhave, pubbaṇhasamayaṃ nivāsetvā pattacīvaramādāya bārāṇasiṃ piṇḍāya pāvisiṃ. ‘‘Abhijjhā kho, bhikkhu, kaṭuviyaṃ; byāpādo āmagandho; pāpakā akusalā vitakkā makkhikā. Taṃ vata, bhikkhu, kaṭuviyakataṃ attānaṃ āmagandhena avassutaṃ makkhikā nānupatissanti nānvāssavissantīti, netaṃ ṭhānaṃ vijjatī’’ti.

‘‘Aguttaṃ cakkhusotasmiṃ, indriyesu asaṃvutaṃ;

Makkhikānupatissanti , saṅkappā rāganissitā.

‘‘Kaṭuviyakato bhikkhu, āmagandhe avassuto;

Ārakā hoti nibbānā, vighātasseva bhāgavā.

‘‘Gāme vā yadi vāraññe, aladdhā samathamattano [samamattano (sī. syā. kaṃ.), sammamattano (pī.)];

Pareti [careti (syā. ka.)] bālo dummedho, makkhikāhi purakkhato.

‘‘Ye ca sīlena sampannā, paññāyūpasameratā;

7. Paṭhamaanuruddhasuttaṃ

130. Atha kho āyasmā anuruddho yena bhagavā tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā bhagavantaṃ abhivādetvā ekamantaṃ nisīdi. Ekamantaṃ nisinno kho āyasmā anuruddho bhagavantaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘idhāhaṃ, bhante, dibbena cakkhunā visuddhena atikkantamānusakena yebhuyyena passāmi mātugāmaṃ kāyassa bhedā paraṃ maraṇā apāyaṃ duggatiṃ vinipātaṃ nirayaṃ upapajjamānaṃ. Katihi nu kho, bhante, dhammehi samannāgato mātugāmo kāyassa bhedā paraṃ maraṇā apāyaṃ duggatiṃ vinipātaṃ nirayaṃ upapajjatī’’ti?

‘‘Tīhi kho, anuruddha, dhammehi samannāgato mātugāmo kāyassa bhedā paraṃ maraṇā apāyaṃ duggatiṃ vinipātaṃ nirayaṃ upapajjati. Katamehi tīhi? Idha, anuruddha, mātugāmo pubbaṇhasamayaṃ maccheramalapariyuṭṭhitena cetasā agāraṃ ajjhāvasati, majjhanhikasamayaṃ issāpariyuṭṭhitena cetasā agāraṃ ajjhāvasati, sāyanhasamayaṃ kāmarāgapariyuṭṭhitena cetasā agāraṃ ajjhāvasati . Imehi kho, anuruddha, tīhi dhammehi samannāgato mātugāmo kāyassa bhedā paraṃ maraṇā apāyaṃ duggatiṃ vinipātaṃ nirayaṃ upapajjatī’’ti. Sattamaṃ.

8. Dutiyaanuruddhasuttaṃ



有一次,世尊住在波罗奈(Bārāṇasī)的仙人落处鹿野苑。那时,世尊在上午穿好衣服,拿着钵和衣进入波罗奈城乞食。世尊在牛车无花果树附近乞食时,看见一位比丘内心空虚、外求满足、失念、不正知、心不专一、心散乱、诸根放逸。看见后,世尊对那位比丘说:
"比丘,不要让自己变得苦涩。比丘,一个变得苦涩、被腐臭所渗透的人,苍蝇不会不跟随、不会不围绕,这是不可能的。"那位比丘听到世尊这样的教诫后,生起了警惕心。世尊在波罗奈城乞食后,饭后返回,对比丘们说:
"诸比丘,今天上午我穿好衣服,拿着钵和衣进入波罗奈城乞食。诸比丘,我在牛车无花果树附近乞食时,看见一位比丘内心空虚、外求满足、失念、不正知、心不专一、心散乱、诸根放逸。看见后,我对那位比丘说:
'比丘,不要让自己变得苦涩。比丘,一个变得苦涩、被腐臭所渗透的人,苍蝇不会不跟随、不会不围绕,这是不可能的。'诸比丘,那位比丘听到我这样的教诫后,生起了警惕心。"当这么说时,一位比丘问世尊:"尊者,什么是苦涩?什么是腐臭?什么是苍蝇?"
"比丘,贪欲是苦涩;嗔恚是腐臭;恶不善寻是苍蝇。比丘,一个变得苦涩、被腐臭所渗透的人,苍蝇不会不跟随、不会不围绕,这是不可能的。"
"不守护眼耳,诸根不防护;
苍蝇会跟随,贪欲的寻思。
比丘变苦涩,渗透着腐臭;
远离于涅槃,只有分忧愁。
村落或林野,未得心寂静;
愚人无智慧,为苍蝇引导。
具足于戒行,乐于慧寂静;
寂静安乐住,灭除诸苍蝇。"

7. 阿那律经(一)
这时,尊者阿那律来到世尊那里,向世尊致敬后坐在一旁。坐在一旁的尊者阿那律对世尊说:"尊者,我以清净超人的天眼看见,大多数女人身坏命终后生于恶趣、恶道、堕处、地狱。尊者,具足几种法的女人身坏命终后会生于恶趣、恶道、堕处、地狱?"
"阿那律,具足三种法的女人身坏命终后会生于恶趣、恶道、堕处、地狱。哪三种?阿那律,这里有女人上午时以悭吝垢所缠的心住在家中,中午时以嫉妒所缠的心住在家中,傍晚时以欲贪所缠的心住在家中。阿那律,具足这三种法的女人身坏命终后会生于恶趣、恶道、堕处、地狱。"

8. 阿那律经(二)

131. Atha kho āyasmā anuruddho yenāyasmā sāriputto tenupasaṅkami; upasaṅkamitvā āyasmatā sāriputtena saddhiṃ sammodi. Sammodanīyaṃ kathaṃ sāraṇīyaṃ vītisāretvā ekamantaṃ nisīdi. Ekamantaṃ nisinno kho āyasmā anuruddho āyasmantaṃ sāriputtaṃ etadavoca – ‘‘idhāhaṃ, āvuso sāriputta, dibbena cakkhunā visuddhena atikkantamānusakena sahassaṃ lokaṃ olokemi. Āraddhaṃ kho pana me vīriyaṃ asallīnaṃ, upaṭṭhitā sati asammuṭṭhā [apammuṭṭhā (sī.), apamuṭṭhā (syā. kaṃ.)], passaddho kāyo asāraddho, samāhitaṃ cittaṃ ekaggaṃ. Atha ca pana me nānupādāya [na anupādāya (sī. syā. kaṃ. pī.)] āsavehi cittaṃ vimuccatī’’ti.

‘‘Yaṃ kho te, āvuso anuruddha, evaṃ hoti – ‘ahaṃ dibbena cakkhunā visuddhena atikkantamānusakena sahassaṃ lokaṃ volokemī’ti, idaṃ te mānasmiṃ. Yampi te, āvuso anuruddha, evaṃ hoti – ‘āraddhaṃ kho pana me vīriyaṃ asallīnaṃ, upaṭṭhitā sati asammuṭṭhā, passaddho kāyo asāraddho, samāhitaṃ cittaṃ ekagga’nti, idaṃ te uddhaccasmiṃ. Yampi te, āvuso anuruddha, evaṃ hoti – ‘atha ca pana me nānupādāya āsavehi cittaṃ vimuccatī’ti, idaṃ te kukkuccasmiṃ. Sādhu vatāyasmā anuruddho ime tayo dhamme pahāya, ime tayo dhamme amanasikaritvā amatāya dhātuyā cittaṃ upasaṃharatū’’ti.

Atha kho āyasmā anuruddho aparena samayena ime tayo dhamme pahāya, ime tayo dhamme amanasikaritvā amatāya dhātuyā cittaṃ upasaṃhari [upasaṃhāsi (syā. kaṃ. pī.), upasaṃharati (ka.)]. Atha kho āyasmā anuruddho eko vūpakaṭṭho appamatto ātāpī pahitatto viharanto nacirasseva – yassatthāya kulaputtā sammadeva agārasmā anagāriyaṃ pabbajanti, tadanuttaraṃ – brahmacariyapariyosānaṃ diṭṭheva dhamme sayaṃ abhiññā sacchikatvā upasampajja vihāsi. ‘‘Khīṇā jāti, vusitaṃ brahmacariyaṃ, kataṃ karaṇīyaṃ, nāparaṃ itthattāyā’’ti abbhaññāsi. Aññataro ca panāyasmā anuruddho arahataṃ ahosīti. Aṭṭhamaṃ.

9. Paṭicchannasuttaṃ

132. ‘‘Tīṇimāni, bhikkhave, paṭicchannāni āvahanti [vahanti (sī. syā. kaṃ. pī.)], no vivaṭāni. Katamāni tīṇi? Mātugāmo, bhikkhave, paṭicchanno āvahati, no vivaṭo; brāhmaṇānaṃ, bhikkhave, mantā paṭicchannā āvahanti, no vivaṭā ; micchādiṭṭhi, bhikkhave, paṭicchannā āvahati, no vivaṭā. Imāni kho, bhikkhave, tīṇi paṭicchannāni āvahanti, no vivaṭāni.

‘‘Tīṇimāni , bhikkhave, vivaṭāni virocanti, no paṭicchannāni. Katamāni tīṇi? Candamaṇḍalaṃ, bhikkhave, vivaṭaṃ virocati, no paṭicchannaṃ; sūriyamaṇḍalaṃ, bhikkhave, vivaṭaṃ virocati, no paṭicchannaṃ; tathāgatappavedito dhammavinayo, bhikkhave, vivaṭo virocati, no paṭicchanno. Imāni kho, bhikkhave, tīṇi vivaṭāni virocanti, no paṭicchannānī’’ti. Navamaṃ.

10. Lekhasuttaṃ



这时,尊者阿那律来到尊者舍利弗那里,与尊者舍利弗互相问候。寒暄完毕后,坐在一旁。坐在一旁的尊者阿那律对尊者舍利弗说:"朋友舍利弗,我以清净超人的天眼观察千世界。我的精进已经发起,不懈怠;念已经确立,不忘失;身体轻安,不粗重;心已专一,不散乱。然而我的心还没有因无执取而从诸漏解脱。"
"朋友阿那律,你这样想:'我以清净超人的天眼观察千世界',这是你的慢。朋友阿那律,你这样想:'我的精进已经发起,不懈怠;念已经确立,不忘失;身体轻安,不粗重;心已专一,不散乱',这是你的掉举。朋友阿那律,你这样想:'然而我的心还没有因无执取而从诸漏解脱',这是你的恶作。朋友阿那律,你最好舍弃这三法,不作意这三法,把心转向不死界。"
后来,尊者阿那律舍弃了这三法,不作意这三法,把心转向了不死界。这时,尊者阿那律独处、远离、不放逸、热心、自励而住,不久就 - 为了这个目的,善男子正确地从家出家到无家 - 在现法中自知、自证、自作证,成就最上梵行的目标而住。他了知:"生已尽,梵行已立,所作已办,不受后有。"尊者阿那律成为阿罗汉之一。

"诸比丘,这三种事物隐藏时能生效,公开时不能。哪三种?诸比丘,女人隐藏时能生效,公开时不能;诸比丘,婆罗门的咒语隐藏时能生效,公开时不能;诸比丘,邪见隐藏时能生效,公开时不能。诸比丘,这三种事物隐藏时能生效,公开时不能。
诸比丘,这三种事物公开时能光耀,隐藏时不能。哪三种?诸比丘,月轮公开时能光耀,隐藏时不能;诸比丘,日轮公开时能光耀,隐藏时不能;诸比丘,如来所宣说的法与律公开时能光耀,隐藏时不能。诸比丘,这三种事物公开时能光耀,隐藏时不能。"

133. ‘‘Tayome, bhikkhave, puggalā santo saṃvijjamānā lokasmiṃ. Katame tayo? Pāsāṇalekhūpamo puggalo, pathavilekhūpamo puggalo, udakalekhūpamo puggalo. Katamo ca, bhikkhave, pāsāṇalekhūpamo puggalo? Idha, bhikkhave, ekacco puggalo abhiṇhaṃ kujjhati. So ca khvassa kodho dīgharattaṃ anuseti. Seyyathāpi, bhikkhave, pāsāṇe lekhā na khippaṃ lujjati vātena vā udakena vā, ciraṭṭhitikā hoti; evamevaṃ kho, bhikkhave, idhekacco puggalo abhiṇhaṃ kujjhati. So ca khvassa kodho dīgharattaṃ anuseti. Ayaṃ vuccati, bhikkhave, pāsāṇalekhūpamo puggalo.
